
This is a recipe that was shared with our family during our time in Missouri. One of the members that Casey served with in the Air Force always brought these country beans to pitch-ins at the squadron. Casey brought the recipe home and shared it with us. Here we are 10 years later, making this easy and delicious side dish to share at cookouts with our friends and family! I hope you enjoy.
INGRIDIENTS
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1/2 lb. bacon
- 1 can (15 oz.) kidney beans (not drained)
- 1 can (15 oz.) baked beans (not drained)
- 1 can (15 oz.) butter beans (drained)
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 1/2 c. BBQ sauce (we love Kraft original)
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. yellow mustard
INSTRUCTIONS
Cook hamburger and bacon, then drain. Add to the crockpot. Add ketchup, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, yellow mustard. Stir it all together. Add the beans. Cook in crockpot on low for about 1 hour and then set to keep warm.
